Who We Are

Contemporary Dance and Fitness Studio was founded in 1973 by owner and director emeritus Lorraine Neal and has been led since 2010 by director Allison Mann.
We offer ballet, tap, jazz, musical theater, hip hop, modern, breaking, and daytime dance workouts and yoga for older adults. Our dancers range from  3 1/2 through adult, beginners through pre-professional. Many of our dancers have gone on to successful professional careers, and many of our faculty grew up in the studio, pursued advanced study, then returned to VT to have a family and teach.
It is our practice to know our dancers and their families.
To this end, we value direct communication, rather than an online registration process. We invite you to explore this website and to call the studio to learn more about CD&FS: (802) 229-4676. We encourage new students and families to visit.

We are a supportive community of dancers and movers, challenging ourselves to learn and grow, inspiring and supporting one another as we learn, respecting everyone’s individual path.
