Welcome to Contemporary Dance & Fitness Studio

NOTE: MONDAY JANUARY 17, 2022 ALL CLASSES ARE CANCELLED

Contemporary Dance and Fitness Studio was founded in 1973 by owner and director emeritus Lorraine Neal and has been led since 2010 by director Allison Mann.
We offer ballet, tap, jazz, musical theater, hip hop, modern, breaking, and daytime dance workouts and yoga for older adults. Our dancers range from  3 1/2 through adult, beginners through pre-professional. Many of our dancers have gone on to successful professional careers, and many of our faculty grew up in the studio, pursued advanced study, then returned to VT to have a family and teach.
It is our practice to know our dancers and their families.
To this end, we value direct communication, rather than an online registration process. We invite you to call the studio to learn more about CD&FS: (802) 229-4676.

We are a supportive community of dancers and movers, challenging ourselves to learn and grow, inspiring and supporting one another as we learn, respecting everyone’s individual path.

Registration for Winter/Spring 2022 will close Wednesday, December 15th. Most classes are full, though there may be a few openings. Please call the studio: (802) 229-4676. Classes begin Monday, January 3rd.

We are grateful and glad to be heading into the final weeks of a healthy and successful Autumn 2021, and we are looking forward to Winter/Spring 2022 classes. There is already a seed of excitement at the studio for our 2022 Performances. We proceed carefully, ready for creative modification to our approach in order to proceed safely. The following COVID Protocols have been effective: only dancers are allowed upstairs–young dancers are met at street level and escorted back; masks are worn; distancing is maintained with taped boxes; cross-ventilation is maintained; hand sanitizer is used; care is taken to maintain distancing during entrances/exits to/from the studios. When necessary, classes shift to Zoom.
